If you want to place your solar panels further away, you&apos;ll need an extension cable.</p><p>You can purchase a cable from AIR GEAR, with adapters for the XT60 input of the Sorein Power Station, and the MC4 output of the Sorein Solar Panel. The <a href="https://www.airgear.store/products/solar-panel-extension-cable-25-feet-with-anderson-connectors?_pos=1&amp;_sid=6a35b75a2&amp;_ss=r"><strong>AIR GEAR Solar Panel Extension Cable</strong></a> is 25 feet long and is made with 8 AWG (8 gauge) wiring, which is suitable for the output of the Sorein Solar Panel.</p><p>If you purchase an extension cable elsewhere, is important to make sure the gauge of the extension cable is appropriate for the length of the extension. If you want a longer cable, you have two options:</p><ol><li>An MC4-MC4 extension cable. These are readily available on Amazon, and fairly inexpensive. Look for at least 10AWG (10 gauge wire), for lengths up to 10 feet.</li><li>If you want a longer cable than 10 feet, you need heavier gauge wire. This system is powerful, lightweight, easy to use, and folds up into a carrying case. It&apos;s twice as powerful as the AIR GEAR 200W Portable Solar Kit. This is ideal for fast recharging of your Sorein Power Station.</p><ul><li>Sorein Solar Panels sold before September, 2026 are rated for 400W output.</li><li>Sorein 450W Solar Panels (sold September, 2026 and later) are rated for 450W output.&#xA0;</li></ul><p>Note that the Sorein Solar Panel does not include a charge controller, and it will routinely output more than 200W, so it cannot be connected to a factory-installed Solar Port on an Airstream or most other brands of RV.</p><h3 id="if-you-do-not-have-a-power-station">If you do not have a power station</h3><p>For charging through a trailer&apos;s Solar Port or 7-way cable, we recommend the AIR GEAR 200W Portable Solar Kit.
