Which solar panel should I choose?Updated 19 hours ago
AIR GEAR currently offers two portable solar panel kits. The best one to choose depends on how your needs.
If you have a Sorein Power Station
If you have a Sorein Power Station, we recommend the Sorein 400 W Portable Solar Panel. This system is powerful, lightweight, easy to use, and folds up into a carrying case. At 400 watts maximum power output, it's twice as powerful as the AIR GEAR 200W Portable Solar Kit. This is ideal for fast recharging of your Sorein Power Station.
Note that the Sorein Solar Panel does not include a charge controller, and it will routinely output more than 200W, so it cannot be connected to a factory-installed Solar Port on an Airstream or most other brands of RV.
If you do not have a power station
For charging through a trailer's Solar Port or 7-way cable, we recommend the AIR GEAR 200W Portable Solar Kit. This kit includes all the accessories needed to connect to a trailer with a factory-installed solar port, including a charge controller, 25-foot extension cable, and adapters. Like the Sorein panel, it folds up, includes a carrying case, and weighs under 20 pounds.
The Solar Port is limited to 200W maximum input, so the AIR GEAR Portable Solar Kit is sized to match.
