Zero output from charge controllerUpdated 3 months ago

In rare circumstances, the charge controller will go offline to protect itself. The most common cause is overheating. If you are using the ETA Solar app and can see that the system is producing zero watts (shown as "Power" in the app), scroll down further to check the internal temperature. Temperatures above 60°C will cause the controller to stop working. 

If you are not using the ETA Solar app, you can check to see if the charge controller is hot to the touch.

If this is the case, move the controller to a shaded spot and let it cool. When it cools off, it will resume working again. You can help prevent another overheating episode by laying a damp facecloth over the unit while it's working. This will shade it, and help cool it.
