Sorein Power Station overloads when turned onUpdated 20 days ago

If a Sorein Power Station overloads when the inverter is turned on, it is because the limits of the inverter were exceeded. In order of likelihood, these are the appliances that typically cause the problem:

  • air conditioner
  • electric water heater
  • microwave oven
  • induction stove
  • plug-in appliances that have heating elements, such as:
    • hair dryer
    • toaster
    • electric skillet
    • space heater
  • plug-in appliances that have electric motors, such as:
    • sump pump
    • vacuum cleaner

To solve the problem, turn off all appliances before starting the power station. Watch the output display on the Main Unit as each appliance is turned on, to isolate the one(s) that are overloading the inverter.

Repeated overloading of the power station inverter will eventually cause it to fail. This type of failure is not covered by the AIR GEAR warranty.
