First, rest assured that the app is optional and not required for the AIR GEAR Portable Solar Kit to function.

That said, here are some simple tips to try if you're having trouble pairing your phone to the charge controller with the app:
*Be sure the solar kit is fully connected (battery and panels). This is necessary for the app to pair with the controller, and deliver data to your mobile device. You will know the kit is fully connected when the appropriate lights on the controller are on (see page 3 of the Guide for more information).
*Try turning Bluetooth on and off on your mobile device, AFTER the charge controller is fully connected. The charge controller should show in the list of available devices when you first open the Eta Solar app.
