Is the charge controller or solar panel waterproof?Updated a year ago

The charge controller and panels in the AIR GEAR 200-Watt Portable Solar Kit are water and dust resistant (rated IP65) but not fully waterproof. This rating means they can be out in light rain, but you should not let the charge controller or panels sit in a puddle of water.

It is also not a good idea to let the charge controller sit on wet grass, as this can cause a short between the exposed terminals on the bottom of the controller. Instead, we recommend placing the charge controller on the lid of the battery box.
