The AIR GEAR 200W Portable Solar Kit is compatible with all Airstream travel trailer models, and all other brands of travel trailers.

Compatibility with Airstream trailers
Late model Airstream trailers may have a stipulation in their Owner's Manuals which states that external (portable) solar panels and charge controllers may not exceed 15A (15 amps DC) output. These trailers often have a 15A fuse installed on the SAE Solar Port.
Although the AIR GEAR Portable Solar Kit uses a charge controller rated up to 20A output, the maximum continuous output expected with this kit is no more than 15A.
The AIR GEAR kit includes a spare 20A fuse, which can be used to replace the 15A fuse in the Airstream's solar port, if the original fuse ever blows.
Adapters
The kit also includes plugs and adapters to connect in many different ways:
- SAE Solar Plug (found on the A-frame of late model Airstreams)
- XT60 (found on most portable power stations)
- 7-way trailer plug (for trailers without SAE Solar Plugs)
- Anderson SB50

The AIR GEAR 200W Portable Solar Kit includes a 20-amp MPPT charge controller so that it can supply the correct power when connected directly to the trailer batteries.
