What battery for a TST sensor & how to replace?Updated 9 days ago

The newer TST cap-style sensors (pictured at left) take a CR2032 coin battery. This type of sensor requires a small wrench to open the case. A  wrench came with your TST system originally. You can also use a small adjustable wrench.

If you have the type of sensor pictured at right, it will need a CR1632 coin battery. This type of sensor requires a jeweler's screwdriver to remove 3 small screws. Both types of battery are easy to find at general merchandise stores, drug stores, and online. To replace the battery in a 2020 and later sensor, see the PDF below:

When replacing batteries, we recommend also replacing the O-ring. You can see the procedure in this video. Spare O-rings were provided with your TST kit when you bought it, and if you need more you can order the spare parts directly from TST.

Changing the battery in the sensor does not affect the sensor programming in the display (or "monitor"). You will not have to reprogram the sensor into the display.
