Removing AIRLoqUpdated 14 days ago

AIRLoq can be easily removed (de-installed), and the original deadbolt can be replaced if you have kept all of the original deadbolt parts.

Here are the basic steps:

  1. Remove the 4 AA batteries from AIRLoq.
  2. Unscrew 4 short screws from the battery case. These include:
    1. the top-most screw in the battery compartment
    2. the bottom-most screw in the battery compartment
    3. two screws in the battery case in the two inset holes.
  3. Unplug the white cable from the battery case's printed circuit board. The cable can be disconnected by pressing down on the white tab of the cable connector, and pulling the cable's plug out of the socket.
  4. Unscrew the 4 long screws holding the back plate in place. The keypad on the outside of the door will fall out when the last screw is removed.
  5. Re-install the original deadbolt with the two screws that came with it.
  6. Test the deadbolt with the original key to verify smooth operation.
