My GasStop works, then shuts offUpdated 10 months ago
GasStop valves are designed to shut off the flow of propane whenever there's a large differential between the pressure in gas line, and the pressure in the propane tank. In normal situations, this should not occur unless there's a major leak in the propane system, or when the gas tank is empty.
It can happen in other rare circumstances:
Freezing weather. GasStop may shut off the gas supply if the temperature drops to around freezing. If this happens, you can restore the gas flow by pumping the device 4 to 6 times.
If your travel trailer has a propane gas generator. These generators can pull a large amount of propane, which may cause GasStop to shut off the gas supply. This is especially likely in cold weather and/or when other gas appliances are running at the same time. Total gas flow is limited to 70 SCFH (75,000BTU/Hr) at 61°F.
