I installed GasStop but it's not working. The gas won't flow through it.Updated 8 days ago
There are three common reasons that can prevent gas from flowing when you have a GasStop installed:
1. The most common cause that the GasStop has not been primed. Every time you open the valve on a tank of propane, you must pump the propane level indicator on the top of the GasStop to get the gas flowing.
- Open the gas valve on the propane tank fully.
- Pump the gauge at the top of the GasStop at least five times to start the flow of gas.
2. Another common reason is simply that the tank is out of propane. Try switching to a different tank, or getting the tank re-filled.
3. In cold temperatures (approaching 0°C/32°F), GasStop may shut off more readily. This is particularly noticeable when cold temperatures are combined with higher demand appliances like propane generators. In this case, you may have to remove the GasStop valve temporarily in order to use the propane generator.
For optimum performance during colder temperatures orient your GasStop so that the gauge is facing the sky.
