Electric trucks and carsUpdated a day ago
Do you need a power station if you have an electric truck?
If you have an electric truck such as a Cybertruck, F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T or R1S, etc., you may be able to power your RV from the truck's battery. In this case, you may not need a power station
However, a power station may still be useful to you for the following reasons:
- The truck can only power the trailer when the truck is nearby, whereas a power station can be left in place.
- Using the truck's battery to power an RV may unacceptably reduce the power in the truck battery. This can be a problem in a remote area where charging options are few.
Charging an electric vehicle from a Sorein Power Station
It's impractical to try to recharge an electric vehicle from a portable power station. Even the largest portable power station would be able to add only a few miles of range to a vehicle, and charging would be very slow.
