Can Sorein be used to recharge external batteries?Updated an hour ago

Sorein Power Stations can be used to charge other (non-Sorein) batteries by using the inverter outlets. This requires the use of an appropriate battery charger that can:

• plug into an AC power outlet on the Sorein inverter, and
• output the correct DC charging profile for the battery that the user desires to charge.

For example:

• a lead-acid or lithium car battery charger that plugs into an AC outlet could be used.
• a charger designed for batteries typically found in remote-controlled (RC) model airplanes, drones, or other toys, could be plugged into an AC outlet on the Sorein Power Station.  

Sorein Power Stations cannot be used to directly charge other (non-Sorein) batteries as a DC to DC connection. For example:

•  A user wishes to charge a vehicle or trailer battery.
  • The DC outputs on Gen 1 Sorein Power Stations are not intended as chargers, and the output limits (wattage) is generally too low for that purpose.
  • Gen 2 AIRGEAR x Sorein Power Stations don't have DC outputs.
• A user wishes to access the internal 48v architecture of the Sorein Power Station. This is not possible.
