Air pump chuck doesn't fit well on the valveUpdated 6 months ago

In some cases, if you have an air pump with a "chuck" (air hose end) that looks like the one pictured at right, you may find that it leaks a little air when you press it down on the air fill valve of the EasyAIR.

This can happen if there isn't quite enough length on the valve for this type of chuck to "seat" completely. If this is a problem, you have a choice of four simple work-arounds:

  1. Use a different air pump with a shorter chuck. Most air pumps have chucks that will fit perfectly.

  2. Remove the brass flat washer (item F in the photo) from the EasyAIR valve.

This will give you a little more room for your air chuck to fit on the valve. The brass washer is optional, so you can leave it off without a problem.

  3. Move the bent valve extension (pictured below) from the spare tire end of the hose, and put it on the air valve, if you don't need it to connect to the spare tire. This will give your air chuck the extra length it needs.

  4. Contact us for an extra valve extension. You can leave this valve extension on the EasyAIR valve permanently if you like.
